We’re just a husband and wife with two girls and a desire to start our own small farm. Come join us on our journey to a more self sufficient lifestyle!

My name’s Adam and when the world went crazy with Covid my wife decided she wanted to get some chickens. I thought, “Sure I can build a chicken coop”, and she picked out the baby chicks. That pretty much sums up how we take care of them still. She does a lot of the day to day maintenance, although I’ll help also, and I love to think of things to put together and add to our microfarm.

Eventually we want the Free Range Journal to be a place to share “free range” ideas that will help us all live a “free range” and self sufficient lifestyle.
